Established in 1972 by Mr. Lee Taylor, A-Taylor Made Window manufactured and installed aluminum windows he had designed.
Steve Kenyon purchased A-Taylor Made Window in 1986, upon Mr. Taylor’s retirement. Steve graduated from Golden Gate University with a degree in Business Management and had worked for IBM nearly twenty years, with half of that time as a System’s Engineer, installing Construction and Manufacturing programs for smaller companies in the East Bay.
In 1989, A-Taylor Made Window became one of the first Bay Area companies to fabricate and install vinyl windows. By the end of the 1990’s, as a result of the rapidly changing window industry, A-Taylor Made Window discontinued all manufacturing and expanded its window contracting to include multiple brands of windows.
Cathy Kenyon joined the company in 2003, after a decade of working as a dental office manager. Cathy is the focal point of all contact with the company from the initial phone call through scheduling of installations.
In the past A-Taylor Made Window has been a subcontractor for Pella Corporation and Renewal-by-Andersen, installing jobs for these companies throughout the Bay Area. Currently, we sell and install many brands of windows and doors (including Pella and Andersen) sold by our knowledgeable estimators and installed by experienced in-house installers.
Currently, A-Taylor Made Window has ten installers, with four of these individuals being employed by A-Taylor Made Window for over 15 years. Two of these individuals have their Installation Master’s Certification. A-Taylor Made Window is an EPA Lead Certified Company with half of the installers having their Lead Certification.
Mr. Taylor founded the company on the principles of providing complete customer satisfaction. Steve and Cathy strongly believe in this philosophy to the extent of assisting customers who had their windows and doors installed with Mr. Taylor over 30 years ago. This attention to customer service is paramount to the standards of A-Taylor Made Window today. We believe that this basic belief of giving value and customer satisfaction is the main reason A -Taylor Made Window has weathered the ups and downs of the past 40 years.
